Event Description

The New River Valley Symphony, under the direction of James Glazebrook, performs another season of fantastic music with three concerts.  In the Spring, the Virginia Tech University Choirs join to perform Mozart's Requiem in the final concert of the season.

 

The New River Valley Symphony Orchestra is a university based community orchestra, open to all students, faculty, and community residents by audition.  All concerts will be performed in the Burruss Auditorium.

$5/Student

Tickets are available by phone, on-line, and in person through the Squires Ticket Office located on campus in the Squires Student Center. 

Hours of operation are 10am-4pm, Mon-Fri.

"The Planets" by Gustav Holst; Helios Overture by Carl Nielsen

 

Winter Concert - Feburary 25 at 8:00 pm

A musical international tour with orchestral showpieces from countries around the world

 

Spring Concert - April 28 at 8:00 pm

Requiem by W.A. Mozart, featuring the University Choirs, Blacksburg Master Choral and guests soloists
