Welcome. You've joined Progress And Main - an exciting new social network community connecting Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Floyd, Radford and the Greater New River Valley.

Now that you're here, you may ask "how do I get involved?" Here's some quick tips:

1) Introduce Yourself! - Great thread where new members introduce themselves - I did
 
2) Read about Progress & Main - I've written a few blogs about my idea behind Progress And Main (Here and Here) and I'm also working on a FAQ page - but I need a few questions first!

4) Join Groups - There's a ton of groups ranging from Individual neighborhoods to political organizations.  Join some groups or Create your own!  Groups are actually my favorite feature.  Even if you have a different site - you can still use a group here to manage contacting your email list and find new subscribers.

5) Search Members - Search other P&M members. Type in keywords such as  name, location, school, etc. Try advanced search.

6) Read the Blogs- Great posts by your neighbors. Post something yourself.  If you a member you've got a space to blog

7) Join the Discussion - Forums are are waiting on you to let us know about your interests. Hop in and comment. Create a new thread.

8) Events Calendar - Find great events  close to you. Add your own as well.

9) Cool Videos - Lots of great local topics Upload your own videos by pasting a link from YouTube, Hulu, or Vimeo, or just about any video embed code

10) Invite your Friends - Love P&M? Help Spread the word. The more people we have, the more knowledge we can share, the better we can make our community.
